The experience of our student Filippo Citterio

In periodontal patients at the end of etiological therapy, often remain residual periodontal pockets that represent a risk factor for the progression of the disease.

Osseous resective surgery is the best choice for shallow intraosseous defects. The goal of this type of surgery is to restore a positive bone and gingival architecture that allows the patient to perform easily oral hygiene maneuvers.

I performed this type of surgery on my patient with fiber retention technique and apically repositioned flap, also in order to create the access to the brush in the bifurcation area of the second molar.
